Robert Priddy Photography -
"Celebrating the Art of Nature"

“With patience and close observation it is possible to photograph nature when she provides unique combinations of light and weather that transform ordinary scenes into works of art.  These special times make the world come alive with color and motion.  I strive to celebrate these fleeting special moments through my photography.”

"Light is Everything!"

"Here is how it's done - Find the image,
WAIT for the light!"

Robert Priddy photographs nature in wild and scenic locations across the United States and Canada.  The beautiful mountains and streams of Pisgah and the Smoky Mountains are the central focus of his work and Asheville is his chosen home.

Robert has been an avid photographer for over 30 years and a professional photographer since 1998.  He has studied the art of nature photography with world-renowned nature photographers including Galen Rowell, Dave Middleton, George Wuerthner, Will Clay, and Stan Osolinski.  He studied view camera techniques with nationally know commercial photographer Jim Hansen and darkroom art with Bruce Barnbaum, a student of Ansel Adams.  He is a graduate of Rocky Mountain School of Photography.

In addition to photographing the wonders of nature, Robert shares his knowledge and love of photography with others.  He conducts private workshops for individuals and small groups and conducts workshops through the North Carolina Arboretum and John C Campbell Folk School.
